Mr FORDE (Capricornia) .- This does not appear to be a contentious measure. I understand that if the postal authorities in a city such as Rockhampton had more land than they required for postal purposes, and a branch of the Commonwealth Bank were located on an adjoining allotment, and required some of that land, there is no power at the present time to transfer it, because a certificate could not be given that it was required for a public purpose. Therefore I have no objection to the bill.
