Mr LYONS - Yesterday, the honor able member for Cook (Mr. Riley) asked whether a report made by Mr. Root, of the Auditor-General's Department, regarding certain works constructed by contract in the Federal Capital Territory could be made available. I have made inquiries and ascertained that, following upon Mr. Root's report, the then Minister for Home Affairs appointed a committee to inquire into Mr. Root's conclusions and the contract generally. I have laid upon the table of the Library Mr. Root's report and the report of the committee of inquiry.
