Mr GULLETT - I have appointed no one to make any sort of general reinvestigation of the tobacco industry. All that I have done is to borrow an officer from the Development Branch of the Prime Minister's Department; for the purpose of checking over the various estimates of this year's tobacco crop.

Mr FORDE - Will the Minister for Trade and Customs announce the name of the officer of the Development Branch of the Prime Minister's Department who is investigating the tobacco industry?

Mr GULLETT - No officer is investigating the industry; but the Government is endeavouring, with the help of Mr. E. N. Robinson, of the Development Branch of the Prime Minister's Department, to check the various estimates that have been made of this year's crop.
