The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN (Mr Cameron (BARKER, SOUTH AUSTRALIA) - Clause 2 has been passed.

Mr James - I dissent from your ruling.

The TEMPORARY CHAIRMAN.My ruling was that the consideration of the clause had been completed before the honorable member rose.

Clause 3 - (1.) Section thirty-six of the Principal Act is amended by inserting, after sub-section (1.), the following sub-sections: - " (1a.) Notwithstanding the cancellation of any contract of sale, the Commissioner may sue for and recover from the purchaser any money which became due under the contract at any time prior to the date of cancellation of the contract."

Section proposed to be amended -

1.   If at any time any instalment or money payable in respect of any contract of sale or advance under this act, or any part of such instalment or money, is unpaid for three calendar months next afterthe time appointed for the payment thereof, then, although no legal demand has been made for payment, the commissioner may enter upon and take possession of the land or land and dwellinghousewith respect to which the contract of sale was entered into or the advance was made,
