Mr LYONS - On the 4th March, the honorable member for Newcastle (Mr. Watkins) asked the Assistant Treasurer a question, without notice, regarding certain land at Tighe's Hill, Newcastle, on which coal - the property of the Commonwealth - had been stored. The matter is one which comes within the administrative activities of the Prime Minister's Department. The position is that certain additional information regarding the matter is at present being sought by the department through the officer-in-charge, Federal and Naval Coal Stocks, Newcastle. As soon as this information is to hand, further consideration will be given to the representations which have been made, and it is hoped that early action to finalize the matter will be possible.
