Mr PROWSE - Yes, a week earlier; and the announcement was made at Inglewood in Queensland, at the same time. The paramount importance of this subject is shown by the fact that even in a small district such as that to which I have referred, there are 80 tobacco-growers this year where there were only five last year. I trust that the Prime Minister will instruct any investigating body to take a broad view of this whole subject, and particularly to consider the probable effects an the growers of the action of the tobacco companies.
