Mr BRUCE (FLINDERS, VICTORIA) - I am not able to add anything to what has been published in the daily press. The Japanese attacks on Shanghai have been continued during the week-end, but at Geneva, and also at Shanghai, efforts are being made to secure an armistice, with a view to a settlement of the trouble. No definite statement can be made on the subject, but the British Government is doing all it can to cooperate in the endeavour to reach a solution of the trouble.
