Mr LATHAM - Section 30a. and following sections of the Crimes Act already provide for the deportation of certain foreign-born persons who engage in seditious and revolutionary activities of the character described and set forth in that act. In the past, prosecutions have been undertaken under some of its provisions.

Mr Scullin - Not too successfully.

Mr LATHAM - All of them have been successful. The Government will be glad indeed to take action in any proper case if legal evidence is presented to it upon which it can justifiably initiate proceedings.
