Mr GEORGE LAWSON (BRISBANE, QUEENSLAND) asked the Postmaster-General, upon notice -

1.   Whether it is a fact that plans and specifications are in the possession of his department for a new post office building for Brisbane?

2.   In view of the growing importance of Brisbane and the inadequacy of the present building, will he take early action to have the new building erected, thus relieving the present congestion, and affording relief to many unemployed workers in Brisbane?
