Motion (by Mr. Lyons) proposed -

That so much of the Standing Orders be suspended as would prevent the Financial Agreement Enforcement Bill from being passed through all its stages before the Address-in- Reply is agreed to, and the second reading being moved at this sitting.

Mr Scullin - I am prepared to support the motion on the understanding that after the second-reading speech of the Prime Minister the debate will be adjourned until next week, so that honorable members may have an opportunity to study the bill.
