Mr PROWSE (FORREST, WESTERN AUSTRALIA) - Will the Minister for Markets, when making arrangements for refrigerated space for the export of apples, take into consideration, not only the quantity of apples to be exported during the present season, but also the dates upon which apples become exportable in the various States? This is important, because the season is a month earlier in some States than in others.

Mr HAWKER - Some time ago the honorable member for Forrest (Mr. Prowse) made representations to me with regard to this matter, and I am pleased to be able to inform him that the position in Western Australia has now become considerably easier. Space in another ship has been allocated to Western Australia, and arrangements are now being made to lift further shipments.
