Mr LATHAM (Kooyong) . -It is reported, I know not on what authority, that there is every prospect of a serious general strike on the waterfront, and I should like to know if the Prime Minister has any information about it, and, if so, whether the Government has taken, or proposes to take, any action. Upon the reply of the Prime Minister may depend whether the adjournment will be moved this morning. I mention it at this stage in order to give ample notice to honorable members of such intention.
