Mr THEODORE - The Financial Emergency Act provides, among other things, for a reduction of pension payments. The manner in which those reductions apply is in accordance with recommendations made by a committee appointed by the Returned Soldiers Association, and including the representatives of the Returned Sailors and Soldiers Imperial League, the blinded and limbless soldiers and various other organizations of returned soldiers. The committee referred to made certain recommendations to the Government dealing with the proposed economies in pension payments, and its recommendations were adopted.
