Mr WHITE asked the PostmasterGeneral, upon notice -

1   . Does clause 14 of conditions for tendering for supplies for the Postal Department state, inter alia, that " The tenderer shall state in his tender whether union labour will be employed in theexecution of any contract which may be arranged under this schedule?

2.   Did the Prime Minister state on the 20th instant in Parliament that, the policy of the Government towards tenderers was that preference was given to returned soldiers and unionists?

3.   If so, will the Minister have clause14 and other appropriateclauses, suitably amended?
