Mr CROUCH asked the Repatriation Department, upon notice -

1.   Did the War Service Homes Commissioner recently sue one, Samuel Davies, in the County Court, Melbourne, for arrears of instalments on his home; if so, with what result?

2.   Had Davies paid £364 in instalments, of which £107 was on account of principal?

3.   Were all payments made forfeited to the Commissioner?

4.   Is Davies in financial difficulties and/or without employment?

5.   Are there any, and, if so, what, special reasons in this case why, in addition to such forfeiture, Davies should be sued for arrears, after leaving the house?
