Mr WARD asked the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Whether a British firm of biscuit manufacturers, known as Peake Freans, who intend establishing a factory in Australia for the manufacture of biscuits, were permitted to import machinery free of all duty, or whether any concessions with regard to duty payments were granted them ?

2.   If so, have these same concessions been granted to other biscuit manufacturing firms when importing machinery into this country?
