Mr SCULLIN - I have discussed with Senator Daly his visit to Wallsend. The honorable senator expressed to me opinions somewhat on the lines of those indicated by the honorable member for Hunter (Mr. James). He appeared to have been much impressed with the endeavours of Messrs. Lyons Brothers, and suggested that an investigation of the matter should be made by departmental experts. The proposal has been left in the hands of Senator Daly, who will, I am confident, deal with it most sympathetically.
