Mr WHITSITT (Darwin) (11:32 AM) - May I suggest that we hand to New South Wales the Federal Capital with the £2,000,000 already expended there and say, " Here, you can have the lot, and can go on with this building." There is no necessity to proceed with the building of a Parliament House at Canberra for the next three years, and what is three years in the life of a nation? If it is imperative to proceed with it, a permanent structure should be erected.
