Mr ANSTEY (Bourke) (6:24 AM) .We should compliment the draftsman on the clearness with which the purposes of the Bill are expressed. For instance, clause 7 relates to the " last preceding section." Turning back to the last preceding section we find that it also refers back to. the last preceding section. So that in reading clause 7 we get back to clause 5. However, I congratulate the Treasurer on the amendment he has submitted, to allow voluntary retirement within twelve months instead of six months. At 4 o'clock this morning he could not see the point which honorable members on this side were trying to make, but now his vision has become clearer. If we continue the discussion for a few hours longer the provisions of the Bill may be further liberalized.

Amendment agreed to.
