Mr CHARLTON (Hunter) (3:50 AM) . - The clause provides than any officer who is retrenched shall receive Compensation in the proportion of one month's pay for each year of service. A man may have served for so many years and ten or eleven months, and for those odd months he will receive no compensation. That is not fair. Some provision should he made to compensate a man for the incomplete year.
