Dr EARLE PAGE - I shall be glad to give the matter consideration.

Dr MALONEY (MELBOURNE, VICTORIA) - In view of the large discrepancies - to use a mild word - of sometimes £15,000 and upwards, in the amount of income tax payable, as calculated by the Department and calculated by individuals, I ask the Treasurer whether he will consider, during the recess, the advisableness of amending the Act so that all persons found guilty of improper practices in that respect shall be sent to prison.

Dr EARLE PAGE - I will look into the matter.
