Mr McWILLIAMS (FRANKLIN, TASMANIA) . - To the suggestion that the matter should be referred to a Committee of inquiry there can be practically no objection; but, having regard to the recent experience of the Select Committee on Sea Carriage,I think a Select Committee under the Standing Orders is exceedingly restricted. A proper inquiry into this matter can be made only by a Royal Commission.
