Sir JOSEPH COOK (PARRAMATTA, NEW SOUTH WALES) (Treasurer) - As I intimated during the debate on the motion referred to, the question of the taxation of primary producers is to be specially referred to the Royal Commission on Taxation which will shortly be appointed. In the meantime, relief will be given in cases of hardship, under section 64b of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1915-1918.
