Mr HUGHES (Bendigo) (Prime Minister and Attorney-General) . - I have every desire to meet the wishes of honorable members in order to make this a workable measure, and having listened carefully to the honorable member for Batman (Mr. Brennan) I feel that there is much in what he has said. We mustmake it perfectly clear that the object of the Bill is not to interfere with, but to supplement the work of the Court, and to deal only with those cases which for any reason at all cannot be dealt with in any other way. I shall therefore move to " amend the proviso to clause 15 so that it will read -

Provided that no dispute as to which the hearing has commenced in the Court shall be referred to a Special Tribunal.
