Mr FOWLER (for Mr. Prowse) asked the Minister for Trade and Customs, upon notice -

1.   Whether it is a fact that white sugar is landed at Fremantle and sold at £49 per ton, and is railed to the port of Albany and sold at £50 17s. 9d. per ton?

2.   If so, will the Minister now cause sugar to be landed direct at the port of Albany at the lower figure?
