Mr McWILLIAMS asked the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   In order to obviate the frequent visit of Ministers to Great Britain to transact the business of the Commonwealth, will the Government give immediate consideration to the desirableness of appointing a Minister of the Crown, one holding Cabinet rank, to fill the office of High Commissioner?

2.   Will this House be afforded an opportunity of discussing this question before the successor to the present occupant of that office is appointed?
