Sir JOSEPH COOK (PARRAMATTA, NEW SOUTH WALES) (Minister for the Navy) - I regret the effect of high prices on the old-age and invalid pensioners, but am not able at the moment to promise further relief. The last increase of 2s. 6d. per week has absorbed in the six months period £693,000. The total for the year will probably be £1,500,000.
