Mr LISTER (CORIO, VICTORIA) - In view of the ex pressed intention of the Prime Minister to recommend to Cabinet the proposal to increase the remuneration of members of Parliament by an amount which will add between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum to the cost of governing the Commonwealth, I ask the right honorable gentleman if he will also recommend that all employees of the Commonwealth shall receive at least the recognised basic living wage ?
