Mr HUGHES - The honorable member, in the most loose and casual way, asks me a question on a matter of vital importance affecting the fate of nations. Possibly he may express surprise when I say that I am not prepared to answer his question on the spur of the moment any more than I would be able to explain offhand some of the passages in Genesis or Leviticus.
