Mr GROOM - Funds which had to be specially obtained from the Treasury have been granted, and the Federal Capital Director of Design and Construction has been notified of approval of expenditure, and has the work in hand. Electric equipment is at present very difficult to obtain and high-priced. It was accordingly advisable to, if possible, make arrangements with the trustees of the Molonglo Camp to purchase the electrical equipment installed in connexion with the camp, and it was some time before arrangements were concluded. I am not aware of any serious inconvenience to the municipality, as well as loss of revenue to the Commonwealth.
