Mr MARR asked the Prime Minister, upon notice -

1.   Whether the attention of the Government has been directed to the statement made at the executive meeting of the Australian Federal Capital League in Sydney, that Mr. Ryan, the member for Essendon in the Victorian Legislative Assembly, had declared that both parties in that House would be unanimous in supporting any effort to move the Federal Capital from Melbourne?

2.   Would he ascertain whether this opinion correctly represents the views of the State Ministers ?
