Mr MARR (for Mr. Marks) asked the Prime Minister, upon notice-

1.   Whether, considering the deplorable state and condition of the dairy herds and other stock in New South Wales caused by the drought, he will consider the question of arranging the necessary shipping to carry from Adelaide some 35,000 tons of fodder, which has been bought and paid for, and is now lying there awaiting shipment to Sydney?

2.   Observing that certain ships of Messrs. J. and A. Brown, of Newcastle, New South Wales, are prepared to proceed to Adelaide to ship this fodder, will he arrange for such ships to be diverted accordingly?
