Mr CHARLTON asked the Minister representing the Minister for Defence, upon notice -

1.   In case of death or permanent incapacity of a soldier, is a wife who resides outside the Commonwealth entitled to a pension?

2.   If not, in view of a number of soldiers having married abroad, will the Government make1 provision in such cases to bring the wives to Australia or make the pensions available?
