Sir WILLIAM LYNE (Hume) (Minister of Trade and Customs) . - I was under the impression that the honorable and learned member for Angas had accepted my suggestion to adopt 1st January, 1908, as the date to be fixed. I cannot agree to a longer period of time than that, and must therefore recommit the clause for the purpose of having the amendment altered.


Sir John Quick - I should think that that would be the more convenient date.
