Mr EWING (RICHMOND, NEW SOUTH WALES) (Vice-President of the Executive Council) - In answer to the right honorable member's question, I have to state that the Government have decided upon the appointment of an officer to succeed Major-General Finn as InspectorGeneral of the Commonwealth Military Forces, and will lay before the House a full statement of the reasons for their action when the Defence Estimates are under consideration.


Mr Reid - In the meantime, will the Minister be good enough to answer my question ? Has expert advice been taken ?


Mr EWING - If the right honorable member willgive notice of any other question upon which he desires to obtain further information, I will institute the necessary inauiry.


Mr Reid - I have already asked the Question, but I will repeat it for tomorrow.
