Mr REID (East Sydney) .- I was sorry to hear some remarks a short time ago from an honorable member who seemed to begrudge the liberality of the Treasurer towards Western Australia. In my opinion, that State has not been treated properly, and, if anything, the present Treasurer has been slightly less generous to it than any of his predecessors. No doubt its distance has often led to the neglect of its just demands ; but, as one who represents an electoral division nearer the centre of government, I shall always be prepared to deal most liberally with its claims.
