Mr STORRER (Bass) .- I intend to oppose proposals such as this so long as the Government allow honorable members to occupy three or four hours in speaking on the business brought before us.


Mr Wilks - The honorable member for Darwin, for instance, took three or four hours to deliver himself in regard to the Budget.


Mr STORRER - I am not responsible for any conduct but my own; but I feel that if honorable members curtailed their remarks we couldget through the business on the notice-paper within a month.
