Mr GROOM (Darling Downs) (Minister of Home Affairs) . - The strongest endeavours are always made to keep the expenditure within the sum voted by Parliament. As I have stated, we have been advised bv experts of considerable standing that £20,000 will be sufficient. If anyfurther money is required, the authority of Parliament must be sought before any additional expenditure takes place. I can assure the honorable member that eveneffort will be made to keep the expenditure within the sum provided.
