Mr HUGHES (WEST SYDNEY, NEW SOUTH WALES) asked the PostmasterGeneral, upon notice -

1.   Is it a fact that a protest has been lodged by the principal officers of the Department in the General Post Office, Sydney, respecting their inability to cope with their work within ordinary working hours, and the consequent large amount of overtime attendance to duties thereby involved ?

2.   What action, if any, has been taken as the result of such representations?

3.   Is there any objection to placing the papers relating to this matter on the table of the House?
