Mr R EDWARDS (OXLEY, QUEENSLAND) .- I wish to bring under the notice of the Prime Minister the fact that Mr. Kidston, the Premier of Queensland, is reported to have said that he had been informed that in the new , mail contract there was no assurance that the mail-boats would go to Melbourne and Sydney. I, however, have reason to know that Mr. Croker wrote a letter to the Government to the effect that the company intended to do so; and in furtherance of my desire to have Brisbane placed upon the same footing as Melbourne and Sydney, I wish to ask the Prime Minister if my information is not correct?
