Mr McWILLIAMS (Franklin) . - I shall not detain the Committee long, because I have realized for some days past that it is practically impossible to make amendments of any importance, seeing that the numbers are against those who wish to restrict the operations of the Bill. I wish, however, to know from . the AttorneyGeneral whether considerable difficulty may not arise in determining what is unfair competition. The products of one State may be sold in another at prices at which the local products cannot be sold, but which give a reasonable profit to the producers. Would that be unfair competition ?

Mr Isaacs - No. We are not now dealing with competition between one Australian firm and another, but with the destruction of Australian industries by combinations which are r.ot combinations of persons engaged in Australian industries.

Amendment agreed to.
