Mr GROOM (DARLING DOWNS, QUEENSLAND) (Minister for Home Affairs) - Information has not yet been obtained which enables me to give the exact date on which the general elections can be held. I was asked last week if they could be held in October, but the information in the possession of tha Department shows that to be impracticable.
