Area: 61 sq km (approx.).

Electors enrolled: 87 436 (at 9.10.04).

Industries: light manufacturing, commercial and retail industries.

State electorates: Deakin includes parts of the Victorian Legislative Assembly electorates of Bayswater, Forest Hill, Kilsyth, Mitcham and Warrandyte.
