Area: 4601 sq km (approx.).

Electors enrolled: 91 700 (at 3.10.98).

Industries: Dairying, grazing, light engineering, coal mining, cement works, orchards and tourism.

State electorates: Macarthur includes parts of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly electorates of Burrinjuck, Camden, Campbelltown, Kiama, Liverpool, Macquarie Fields and Southern Highlands.
