Industries: food processing, petrochemical and carbon products, marine engineering facilities, transport facilities, warehousing, tertiary education, tourism and retail industries.

State electorates: Gellibrand includes the Victorian Legislative Assembly electorate of Williamstown, and parts of Altona and Footscray.
