UK to assert freedom of navigation in South China Sea -

The United Kingdom has vowed to challenge Beijing's territorial claims in the South China Sea by sailing two new aircraft carriers through the disputed waters on a freedom of navigation operation.

The British Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, has confirmed the move in a speech to the Lowy Institute in Sydney, after discussions with Australia's Defence and Foreign ministers.
