Arnotts has defended downsizing some of its products, while it leaves the price on hold.

The company has been copping it on social media for cutting the number of tiny teddy and shapes snack packs it sells in some family bundles.

While it's only a small change, consumer advocates warn downsizing is not an isolated problem.
