Angry South Australian MPs are demanding a range of inquiries following revelations on ABC's Four Corners about of the handling of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan.

The program found billions of litres of water earmarked for the environment have instead been used on cotton farms in New South Wales.

One of the key revelations is that the top water bureaucrat in New South Wales has been caught on a secret recording offering to confidentially share internal government information with irrigation lobbyists.
