(generated from captions) We are waiting for Kate, William and baby Cambridge walking down it steps. Exactly two hours ago, home, tucked up snuggly now in Kensington tucked up snuggly now in tucked up snuggly now Palace. Good morning, I am Melissa Doyle and I am live in London.

the world sees the future king
for the first time. But what about a name? It's the first time
we've seen him, really. So having a proper chance
to catch up and see him. The proud parents speak out before
heading home to Kensington Palace. We're there live. More colourful celebrations
to welcome the royal baby.

Across Australia, this is
a special edition of Sunrise with Kochie and Sam
at Brekky Central and Mel, live in London.

Good morning.
Welcome to London again. It's the family photo
we've been waiting to see. Prince William, Kate and
their new son outside the hospital. They're now safely home
at Kensington Palace. We'll take you there live soon. Kochie and Sam are back at
Brekky Central. And Mel, we're going to meet Aussie
relatives of the royal this morning

You knee we'd find one. When there is a new baby they come out of the woodwork.

But Mel, we'll begin with you and
all the baby news from overnight. The Prince of Cambridge has left
hospital with his proud mum and dad. Prince William and Katherine
thanked staff as they headed home
to Kensington Palace. Seven News correspondent Mike Amor
was there to greet them. Mike, how are the family doing?

I think they are tucked up safely now and the walls behind me of Kensington Palace. We might not know the little prince's name yet but at least we got to see him just a couple of hours ago. What a scene it was outside the hospital. Prince William revealed he has already changed his first nappy. I am pretty sure that is what is going to be going on in the next few hours, overnight. Lets overnight. Let's look at what was such an exciting day.

(CHEERING) A royal reception
for the baby prince on his first public appearance. The future heir looked content,
cradled in his mother's arms. Just one day old
and already the apple of Dad's eye. He's got her looks, thankfully. Perhaps his first dad joke, William revealed his son
has a better head of hair than him. Well, he's got a good set of lungs
on him, that's for sure. He's a big boy, he's quite heavy. Smiling and waving to the crowd, the proud parents showed off
their baby boy. Very emotional,
yeah, it's very emotional. I think any parent would know
what this feeling is about, very special.

Very special. Right now William and Catherine
are not

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for a moment, they are proud parents nervoussly showing off their baby son to the world.

The royals thanked hospital staff
for their tremendous care and headed home
to Kensington Palace. Earlier, Kate's parents,
Michael and Carole Middleton, met their grandson
for the first time. He's absolutely beautiful, they're both doing really well
and we are so thrilled. MAN: How are the parents going? Fabulously. Prince Charles arrived
with his wife, Camilla. MAN: How is the baby boy? It's marvellous. It follows a day of royal fanfare. A 41-gun salute from Green Park. (GUNSHOT) And a 62-gun blast
from the Tower of London. (GUNSHOT) At Buckingham Palace, thousands queued to see the baby's
official birth announcement. Music played during
the Changing of the Guard. (PLAY REGAL MUSIC) Londoners danced and cheered
on the street. Oh, my God, it's here! Sorry I just got here in time
to burst my bubbles. We still don't know
the young prince's name. Prince William says
it's a work in progress and we'll know when they do.

Mel, how gorgeous did Kate look? I also loved the moment where William, in front of the world's media, put the baby capsule inside inthe back of the car, the car seat and breathed a sigh of relief. No pressure there, jumped in the front seat and drove away. I would have done a couple of bunny hops down the road. He was all smiles. A special reminder they are royalty but they are, after all, just new mums and dads. For those of us who rb be have been in that position, we know how nervous that can be.I know, I so think he has been practising in the garage for some time because there is no way you would nail it the first time. I would love to know your feeling. You have looked at every single brick at the front of the Lindo Wing, you know the place well. Tell me how you felt, when you finally came out, tell us the joy of it all?Yes, you know, Mel, you fry to imagine having to imagine having sat out the front of that hospital for three weeks what the moment would be. And it more than lived up to my expectations. The crowd was just enormous. Perhaps, 500 cameras? It was difficult to count them. You can hear the roar. They went up to the microphone but it was microphone but it was difficult to hear because the crowd was so very loud. With some of us waited impatiently, the rest patiently but we fine all-got to see the -- we finally got to see the future king in the arms of his mum and dad. And now back at Kensington Palace, that saw so much sorrow after the death of Princess Diana and now so much happiness and joy. I am sure we won't see them publicly for a couple of days at the very least, a couple of weeks. They will be about a new family, getting to know each other and all the things with changing nappies, which William says he has done, and all the early morning feeds. They say they are not going to have a nanny. It is going to be to be a bit of hard work for them. Look, I reckon every family will probably be the same. Gone home, feed the dog, apologise for being gone a few days and at home, 9: 05, tucked up getting some sleep. That moment was truly lovely when Kate and Williamt came out of the hospital with their baby. We will play it for you in full and you can sit back and enjoy it. Now back to Nat with the news.

Police are investigating
the deaths of two people found inside a Perth home. A elderly man and woman

were found dead inside
a Padbury property yesterday. Detectives are trying to work out whether the deaths are
the result of a murder-suicide. Judges are considering whether
convicted baby killer Keli Lane should stay in jail or walk free. Lane's lawyers have presented
their grounds for appeal, arguing the jury should have been
told to consider manslaughter as an alternative charge. Lane was convicted of murdering
her newborn baby Tegan in 1996. She's currently serving
a 13-year jail sentence. Lady Gaga has topped
the 'Forbes' magazine rich list for stars aged under 30. The pop diva has made $86 million
over the past year. 19-year-old Justin Bieber raked in
more than $60 million to claim second spot. Taylor Swift sits in third. Her earnings are down but she still
banked a cool $59 million.

How do these people end up with this much money?

Coming up, poking fun at the prince. The royal baby is eight pounds. But then you can't really put
a price on a child. Hollywood's funnymen have their
say about the royal baby. But first, here's Kochie.

Cronulla prop Bryce Gibbs
is the latest NRL player linked to the ASADA probe
into anti-doping violations. Gibbs is reportedly in the sights
of investigators despite the fact he wasn't playing
for the Sharks when their alleged doping program
took place in 2011. Skipper Paul Gallen denies trying
to strike a deal with ASADA and the club
is backing its players.

Based upon the information I've seen I'm happy to continue
to support them. Up to 10 players and officials are
set to recommence interviews with ASADA next week. Geelong coach Chris Scott admits the
club's growing list of suspensions is alarming. Jimmy Bartel's suspension this week
has left the star midfielder with 87 carry-over points
hanging over his head - a dangerous prospect heading
towards the AFL finals. Meantime, West Coast will make a
call today on whether Nic Naitanui will line up

is keeping the southern states clear and mostly dry,
leading to a cold night. A building cold front
in the southwestern parts of WA is producing rain.

Usually we struggle to scratch together a piece of toast this time of the morning but Joe has been making lemon meringue pies. I love you already.Oh!I feel right at home here. Nicole Kidman credited the waters of Kununurra to get pregnant? For years they had people from right around the world asking for samples of the waters from here to help make a family as well. How about that? Maybe Kate and William received some in the mail? No, I'm sticking to tea.Water it is.Extra tea leaves.Go, Eddy.Good luck with that, alright. Thank you, Eddy, see you soon. (CHEERING AND APPLAUSE)

You want cheering? That is the moment Kate and William emerged from the hospital earlier with their baby prince. They left the Lindo Wing less than 24 hours after Kate gave birth. The parents are still deciding on a name. It has been an historic name in London.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
have shown off their new baby to the world. Royal correspondent Rob Jobson
and UK correspondent Martin Frizell join me now. Good morning.

Give anybody watching back home at Australia an indication of the joy and why everybody is feeling the way they are?Well, I think everyone loves a baby but when it is a royal baby, there is the extra theteter. By the time I came out the Lindo Wing, there were thousands of people gathered outside the tiny area. You had 500 cameramen but a historic watershed moment. You haven't had a situation with three direct heirs to the throne since Queen Victoria. We had reporters from all over the world who report from tragic deaths to jubilees, to have a positive, feel-good factor to make us all smile. When we saw that little baby, like everyone else, wep wanted to smile.Yeah. Look, I know I am. I am certainly over viewed. I am surprised howgaga I am going. Can we check in with you in Buckelbury?I am going to call it Royal Buckelbury from now on because it deserves it. It might not be too long before it gets the honour. To come to the pub, this is what you get when you arrive, a cottage, it is one of Kate and William's locals. Congrach laigs Will and the Kate on the date of your son, no name of course, but because they kept us waiting and waiting, they had tapaint in 22nd July 2013. You can see the bunting and the locals outside as well. If we swing around, you can see the village in the car park, down to the field where there is barbecue and a band. All the networks are here, not just here in Australia but the United Kingdom, everybody is here all having a great time. I imagine that party is going to continue well into the night. Children are leaving now. Seen lots of kids. Evening. Had a nice day?Lovely day.Come and join us for a second. Just live to Australia just now.Oh! Say hello to Australia.Hello, Australia.Hello,. Auntie Penny. Where does she live?Pittwater. Half of school is here, great, all the parents and kids are here, they break up tomorrow. No-one is worried about being up too late.Did you see Kate and William on the steps? What did you think?Yeah, I thought it did you think?Yeah, I thought did you think?Yeah, I was great. You are so famous now. Because she lives here. You live in in a famous place. Do you like Japanese/ in a famous place. Do you like Japanese/American tourists? You are going to see a lot from now on, believe me. If I believe me. If I was you, I have been telling everyone? Can you make cupcakes, make some cupcakes and set up a up a trestle table and sell them. $ up a trestle table and sell them. $5.The last time I saw the Chinese, they were filming the wrong house. Congratulations.Thank you, goodbye. Everyone is so excited. They are hoping, perhaps they come here in the next day or two.Martin, you are an entrepreneur and a gentleman, thank you, talk to you soon. Thank you, Rob for your time. See you soon. Hopefully Auntie Penny was watching that.I love Martin. He is fantastic, isn't he? Because Buckelbury Manor was first owned by Edward the Confesser who passed it on to Kanut the Great.Kanut?Yes, been Wikipediaing it all.

Still to come, thousands of nurses
to walk off the job across Sydney. We'll tell you how you'll be
affected. Plus a sell-out crowd set
to watch Liverpool take on Melbourne Victory.

Ah. Big night, eh? No, big day. See, the boss is going to walk
through that door in a bad mood, dump a mountain of work
on my desk, expect it sorted "within an hour", before I race to a meeting,
do a massive presentation, rush back to work,
have to take the stairs, plough through the sales reports,
covering for Jonesy as usual, do a quick session at the gym,
then dinner with the in-laws.

Phew.

Isn't he a gorgeous little thing? There he is, the Prince of Cambridge, tucked up in his capsule. William did well, popped Kate in the back with bub and took to the wheel himself and headed home. Given it is nearly 9:30 at night in London, fast asleep. As any new parent will tell you, you grab every moment of napping you can. I have papers to share, this is the 'Daily Star' not an unknown one, the moment he was born, a boy. I love this one, the 'Daily Mirror', our little prince, how sweet is that? What else? This is the easel put up outside Buckingham Palace. The crowds were there yesterday, up to 24 hours the formal announcement, a nice way of doing it. And this is my favourite, I like this one. Charles made the front of this one, " I like this one. Charles made the
front of this one, "Oh, boy! One's a grandpa." At 8 pounds, 6 ounces, he is the heaviest future king in 100 years. They have given the birth waits of the royal bubs. No secrets. The heaviest future king in 100 years. That is a stat to be proud of.Mel, where is Pippa? Surely the sister...She is at Kensington Palace. She is? Good.As is Harry. Not that there is anything there. Because of course, he lives at Kensington Palace, down the hallway. They are moving into their apartment, 1 A.They couldn't have too many people in the hospital. He wasn't in there very long. The hospital wanted them to get out quickly. Because it is a working hospital, they wanted everyone out quickly. There were helicopters overhead, roads blocked. They wanted to work. I have got so much. I could talk for hours, which is just as talk for hours, which is just talk for hours, which is just as well Sunrise goes for hours. We have got royal correspondents. You are watching Sunrise, live from London.

Prince William and Kate have shown
of their baby boy to the world. The couple thanked staff
at St Mary's Hospital before heading home
to Kensington Palace. Seven News correspondent Mike Amor
joins us now from the palace. Mike, how are the proud parents
doing?

Hopefully everyone is very quiet! Yes, well, the lights in Kensington Palace, from where we are standing, are almost out. No doubt they are tucked up in bed, as you mentioned earlier to get some sleep when they can get some sleep. As we know with newborn babies it can be a challenge. Didn't they look happy emerging from the hospital. They didn't look nervous at all. Of course, Catherine looked gorgeous, especially for a woman who gave birth a little over 24 hours ago. Very happy. The crowd was just estateic and just -- estatic and just so loud. Let's listen to what the new parents had to say.

Well, he's got a good pair of lungs
on him, that's for sure. He's a big boy, he's quite heavy. We are still working on a name so
we'll have that as soon as we can. Very emotional. Yeah, very emotional. Such a special time. I think any parent, probably would
know what this feeling feels like. Very special.

Just gorgeous. Mike, we have been waiting for tababy and waiting to see them and now we are waiting for the name. I am sure we will find out. Thank you, Mike outside Kensington Palace and I am outside Buckingham Palace and more for you soon but now, the news.

Good morning. The husband of murdered Melbourne
woman Jill Meagher has slammed Victoria's
adult parole board. Sunrise correspondent Nick Etchells
is following the story. Nick, Tom was so strong
following his wife's death, what has got him so upset?

Well, look, according to the 'Herald Sun' he has written a letter to the adult parole board, first of all seeking an apology for them letting Adrian Bayley out of jail early so he could rape and kill Jill Meagher. He has posed a series of questions how they came to that decision. But the parole board did not respond in any way. That led to a follow-up letter from Tom heir and letter from Tom heir Mahr and this, " letter from Tom heir Mahr and this, "I can see the capricious way you put rapist and murders on to the street does not respond to victims." The parole board has responded now. After he went to newspapers. They are blaming their lack of response on a faulty Spam filter on their e-mail system. He is not happy with that, obviously and still demanding another apology.Nick, thank you for the update, live from Melbourne this morning.

My gosh! What a day. Can you imagine how they felt? Most of us get to sneak out in our trackies and get to head home with our bub. What a moment for William and Kate and little baby Cambridge. An historic day in London.

Royal correspondent Rob Jobson
and UK correspondent Martin Frizell join me now.

Those scenes were incredible outside the hospital. I know everyone has been waiting, waiting, waiting for this moment and William and Kate were prepared for it but still, it would have been quite overwhelm whelming? It looks like, Mel, the great Kate Wait was well worth it because the baby was such a corker. Even dids what looked like a little royal wave, which is quite funny when he raised his arm. I think it is going to when he raised his arm. I think it is going to be a roller-coaster ride for the child. Next April, on the first royal tour, probably to Australia. Nothing has been confirmed yet but both William and Kate are very keen to get down to Australia. But before they think about things like that, they will be holed up in Kensington Palace I they will get a few hours sleep, I am sure. I don't believe the name will come out in the next 24 hours. Let's hope it comes out soon. But they probably want to tell the Queen first, they want the baby to meet the Queen before they issue a public statement and have the baby's name released to the media. It is the next great wait we have to wait for, the name of the baby.Yes, I hope they hurry. I feel like I have been waiting for so many things. I am a little over waiting but it has been fun. One of the things everyone went through today, the grandparents all came to visit. Was it significant they came to the hospital rather than waiting until William and Kate went back to Kensington Palace and say, visit them tomorrow?Look, I think it was a very applaudable we did see the grandparents. It was nice when Carol and Mike turned up in a black cab and he let her doing the speaking when they emerged. Speaking to the media, it must have been overwhelming. The cameras flashing, she walked straight back the cab and he had to call her back. But of course, Prince Charles flew down, by helicopter, he had been on public engages in the north of Yorkshire. He was keen to see his grandson. He was flying to Wales, more engagements tomorrow. It is good to see them arrive in public. I good to see them arrive in public. think the meeting with the Queen will be in private. Charles wanted to the world to see how delighted he was to be a grand dad for the first time.Yes. We saw that. My gosh, I agree. I know his approval ratings have gone up and he has become so much more popular but he looked like a happy, proud grand dad. Buckelbury is proud. They are celebrating. Martin Frizell, first and foremost, leader of the party. How they managing? They going to kick on later than last night, do you think? I have got an exclusive story, yet another UN with. Can -- another one, can you believe so many in one show. An Australian connection to Buckelbury. There it is. Yes, we are all having a great time here, the party is in full swing. I reckon it could be a very late one, indeed. And could be a very late one, indeed. And buck-Buckelbury is 100 times different to last night. Remember we are standing in the very quiet church yard.Yes, the cemetery. You can see in the field behind me, a barbecue, a live band. They are still children up. It is getting towards 10:00 at night but hey, they are having a great time. It was a child's day today. At school they are told they will grow up with him as the king. I as the king. I thought it would die down but more and more people are coming out. They coming out. They know how to let their hair down. They are looking for the public holiday. But let the party commence. It looks so beautiful. Maybe make it an unofficial holiday. Spread the word and see what everyone thinks? Another Martin Frizell exclusive.A campaign started by Australians. They would love that. You think it will be later? Last night things wrapped up quite early but maybe they are all in shock?Perhaps. Let me just try and grab some people. It is getting towards 10:00 here and the hour has been going on for a few hours. It is live television. Let's just make sure they speak as best they can. Excuse me. Can I bother you for a second. We are live on Channel 7 in Australia.Oh! Australia. You have cousins there, where from?Brisbane. What is his name?George, ather Frame. Hello, Arthur are I hope you are watching and remember the places we took you when you are here in Christmas time. My cousin. What sort of day has it been? Soowell, I have been working of course. But this evening it has been really good to come and join with the celebrations. And it is fantastic. It is not going to happen that often so we make the most of it. It is quite a reserved place, Buckelbury and the parish around it. They do seem to be letting themselves go tonight which is nice. People like to let their hair down because it doesn't happen that often. It is reserved. We are patriotic.Hopefully the baby will come here soon. Do you think he will be allowed to see them walking around the village or not?I doubt whether they will do that.No. Probably a bit of a security problem from that point of view. But, Kate did go shopping in Waitrose and things like that when she was preg things like that when she was pregnant mismI can tell you, Mel, to celebrate that, they are going to put in some ceremonial gates at infortrance to put in some ceremonial gates at
infortrance to Buckelbury. Americans build libraries, here they build ceremonial gates at the entrance to Bucklebury. ceremonial gates at the entrance to
Bucklebury.

We are looking for cousin Arthur and Auntie Penny today. Come we come back, we come back with a wrap of the events and poking fun at the prince. Then again, you can't prince. Then again, you can't put a price on a child.Hollywood's funnymen have their say about the royal baby.

What did they say?

Well, you know how we Americans are. It is like that 'Seinfeld' episode, " It is like that 'Seinfeld' episode, "Jerry, when you going to am see the baby?" We do have a laugh. Here is a sampling.

William and Kate
are the proud parents of an 8 pound, 6 ounces baby boy. Making him the first bare-ass royal
since Prince Harry. The royal baby is eight pounds. But then again, you can't really put
a price on a child. Kate Middleton went
into labour this morning in London and when the rest
of the royal family heard that, they were like, "Oh, my God,
what's labour?"

You have

Here's the Queen celebrating
on the balcony right after the baby was born. For a royal baby, the umbilical cord
it cut by a unicorn's horn.

Well, you know, can't be all North West and Ivy and Apple all the time. I think that is good, but speaking of celebrities, one also gave birth on the very same day as the royal baby. It wasn't a Kardashian? No, it was a little girl, yes, Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem, their little son Leo has a baby sitter. They haven't released the name. Maybe they can use one of the names that didn't get used since William and Kate had a boy. I still think Alexandra.A good looking couple. Back to Mel in London.

Good morning.
I'm Melissa Doyle, live from London. Breaking overnight - the world sees the future king
for the first time. But what about a name?

It's the first time
we've seen him, really. So having a proper chance
to catch up and see him. The proud parents speak out before
heading home to Kensington Palace. We're there live.

More colourful celebrations
to welcome the royal baby. (SONG) # Reach out for the sunrise # Reach out for the sunrise. # with Kochie and Sam
at Brekky Central and Mel, live in London.

Hello again and welcome to London. It's the family photo
we've been waiting to see - Prince William, Kate and
their new son, outside the hospital. They're now safely home
at Kensington Palace. We'll take you there live soon. Kochie and Sam are back
at Brekky Central.

Kate was wearing a Jenny Packham. Pakenham?Packham. And wearing esprudrills and very interestingly, wearing polka dots outside the hospital, the same as Princess Di. If you have got a photo when you came out of hospital, send them in. Let's share coming-out-of-hospital photos I think.

And Mel, we're going to meet Aussie
relatives of the royal this morning and see how they're feeling. But Mel, we'll begin with you and
all the baby news from overnight. I am so grateful there are no photos of me coming out of the hospital after I just gave birth but let's move on.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
have showed off their newborn son. They smiled and waved
to thousands of well-wishers as they left St Mary's Hospital and headed home to Nottingham
Cottage at Kensington Palace. Seven News correspondent Mike Amor
is at the royal residence. Mike, it was the moment
everyone was waiting for and boy, didn't they deliver.

They came and spoke to the media and gave us what we wanted?Yes, Mel, well worth the wait, even Prince William joked about his baby's tardiness. But gee, didn't they look so happy and content? They didn't look nervous at all, despite stepping out in front of hundreds of cams from around the world. -- cameras from around the world. Kate looked gorgeous despite giving birth less than two days ago. Let's look how the day developed.

Smiling and waving to the crowd, Very emotional. Yeah, it's very emotional. It's such a special time.

I think any parent would probably
know what this feeling feels like. Very special. Right now William and Catherine are not the Duke and Duchess
of Cambridge for a moment, they're proud parents, showing off
their new baby boy to the world. and then thanking the hospital staff
for their tremendous care, William drove home
to Kensington Palace. (CHEERING AND APPLAUSE) Earlier, Kate's parents,
Michael and Carole Middleton, met their grandson
for the first time. He's absolutely beautiful. They're both doing really well
and we are so thrilled. MAN: How are the parents going? Fabulously. Prince Charles arrived
with his wife, Camilla. MAN 2: How is the baby boy?

It's marvellous. It follows a day of royal fanfare. A 41-gun salute from Green Park. And a 62-gun blast
from the Tower of London. At Buckingham Palace, thousands queued to see the baby's
official birth announcement. Music played during
the Changing of the Guard. (PLAYS 'CONGRATULATIONS') Londoners danced and cheered
on the street. Oh, my God, it's here! We still don't know
the young prince's name. Prince William says
it's a work in progress and we'll know when they do.

Of course, the name we are just waiting for you just mentioned, did they drop any hints?I like the fact that someone suggested George. Kind of giggled at that. I don't know whether it gave away perhaps that George, one of the contenders as far as the bookies are concerned is perhaps the favourite, might be the name? Hopefully. We have been doing a lot of waiting in the last couple of weeks. Hopefully we will find out soon. Maybe they are going to wait to introduce their baby boy to the Queen and then tell the world his name.

She's not your average great granny so I get that. Do you know where the family will spend the next cup of days? Will they spend some time at Kensington Palace? The truth is, there has been so much speculation, the truth is we don't know. We probably won't know. But they are tucked up safely, probably asleep in Kensington Palace right now. And Nottingham Cottage. Only a few lights on in the palace itself. You would think they would spend, certainly, the first few days here. William has a couple of weeks paternity leave and then perhaps goes back to work. Maybe that is when we will see Kate and the baby return to her parents' home where she will have more support. We probl won't see them for the next two weeks perhaps when there will be a royal portrait.Gosh, she's got to rest. She just pushed a baby out. Put her slippers on, I say. It was a moment e we are waiting for. If you are just waking up and joining us on Sunrise, let's reswrizt the moment they -- reswrizt the moment they e -- revisit the moment they e -- revisit the moment they -- revisit the moment they emerged from the Lindo Wing this morning. Here it is in

(CHEERING AND APPLAUSE)

Well, he's got a good pair of lungs
on him, that's for sure. He's a big boy, he's quite heavy. We are still working on a name so
we'll have that as soon as we can. But it's the first time
we've seen him, really, se we're having a proper chance
to catch up. Who does he look like the parents? Equally or both?

Very emotional. Yeah, very emotional. Such a special time. I think any parent, probably would
know what this feeling feels like. Very special. (REPORTERS SHOUT) The time between the birth
and when he was announced, that was time for you, I assume? It was. I will remind him of his
tardiness when he gets a bit older, 'cause I know how long you have
all been sat out here. So hopefully the hospital and you
guys can all go back to normal now and we can look after him... (REPORTERS SHOUT) Who does he look like?
You or Catherine? He's got her lips, thankfully. No, no, no,
I'm not sure about that. (CHEERING AND APPLAUSE)

REPORTER: Have you called him
George? (LAUGHS) Wait and see, Peter,
wait and see. Have you changed your first nappy? We've done that already. Yes. He's done
the first nappy already. Good.
Very, very good.

MAN: Much hair? He's got way more than me,
thank God. Thanks a lot. Thank you. (CHEERING AND APPLAUSE)

Gosh, wouldn't it be overwhelming for everybody?

Before the new royal
left the hospital, he met his grandparents
for the first time.

There have not been three direct male heirs to the throne since the 1890s but this evening, all three were in one room of one hospital. Prince Charles came with the Duchess of Cornwall, a 20-minute visit after which he described his hirs grandchild to the waiting cameras. Wait and see, you will see in a minute. The first family visited to pass through the hospital doors however, were Prince William's in-laws. Arriving in a black cab, Michael and Carol Middleton came to see the new prince a little under 24 hours after he was born.Carol, how do you feel do?It was a visit which took an hour and 10 minutes, a visit in which the Duchess's mother said she had her first cuddle and the new grandparents emerged afterwards and gave the very first description of the new royal arrival. He's absolutely beautiful. Both doing weal l really well. Ree are so thrilled. IsHow are the parents doing?Fabulously. Amazing. It is all coming back. Absolutely not. Thank you.Absolutely not, was this grandmother's clear response to the question, " question, "have you suggested any names?" That remains a closely-guarded secret. Today's very hot and at times wet weather did not dampen the huge pap tite of dampen the huge pap tite of -- appetite for the story of the world's media. Staff of the new parents praised today for the tremendous care the three of them have received. That was have received. That was certainly a nice touch. While we had hur first glimpse of the baby, we don't know names. William said they are deciding. He takes his title from a city with centuries of histeracy but city with centuries of histeracy city with centuries of city with centuries of history but the Prince of Cambridge is yet to have a name.It defines the Georgian era aand so on. So the name could be potentially be a period of brist history. The first and last prince of cameerage was a George. Nearly 200 years later as speculation about the name mounts, guessers are looking back through family history for clues. The most sublged name is George. The name the Queen's father used as king. James is another traditional royal name. But it is also the name of Catherine's brother. It is also suggested that the couple might pay tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh by naming their son, Philip. At the bookies, bets have been taken from more than 100 country. George is the favourite at 2 to 1. Kate has revealed they have o short list but so far, nothing more. Wheen mile in Cambridge, some are waiting for the name of their new prince. We have reserved a high chair especially for the prince. The Duke and duch Duke and Duke and Duchess of Cambridge reserved this seat. Born in the height of a British summer, the prince will be given a name which will help to define his future reign.I think it will be a traditional royal name.Don't want it to be George.I have no view at all.Ben.George or it can't be Charles? Can it? Yes, Bruno. For those waiting, they only know the baby's family name will be mont batten Windsor but what his parents call him and how the country know him remains unknown.

It's been an historic day
in London today. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
have shown off their new baby to the world. Royal correspondent Rob Jobson and
Seven News correspondent Mike Amor are in London. While UK correspondent Martin
Frizell joins us from Bucklebury. Good morning.

Three fine names, Rob, Mike and Martin. We will put them on the table. The scenes outside the hospital were extraordinary, emotional and that final scene of the family on the steps?Well, it took us back, didn't it? To the days of Princess Diana and Prince Charles which they arrived on the steps with Prince which they arrived on the steps with Prince William on the steps of the Lindo Wing. It is the new Royal Family. They look at things in a different way. The way Prince William approached the media, very relaxed and answered questions. He likes to control the situation but what you see is what you get with William. He is going to make a William. He is going to make fantastic king one day. Supportedly beautiful by his wife. He is very open. She is a great lady. He is going to be protective, I am sure of his family, and will use the law as necessary but I don't think it will come to it. I think people will respect the privacy of this young family and let them bond and grow up together. It will be an experience for the British Royal Family, is and am sure the first port of call they go to will be Australia.Yes. We hope so. Rob, can I tell you, you got the loudest sirens in this country I have ever country I have ever heard! But Mike at Kensington Palace. An iconic place they are going into. They are going into Princess Margaret's apartment, 1 A. It is where Princess Diana used to live?Isn't it great we saw so many scenes of sorrow of the death of Diana here and now so many, so much happiness and joy, certainly we are seeing it tonight with people passing by. Most hrae people going for a walk in the park. They are going to close the park in the next hour or so. They will get their peace and quiet. By the the way, forgive me if I keep swating bugs. I didn't thing the country had any but I am swating them outside swaps. But I am sure they are quietly trying to grab sleep when they can. For those of us who have been new parents, you know you do that when you can in between feeds and late-night nappy changes. I am sure it is on their mind. I am sure they are relieved to have the scene outside the hospital behind them. But as Rob said they look happy and confidence. Unlike 31 years ago, when we saw Diana who looks nervous and she took it pretty hard, we understand.I agree. They knew they had to do it and get through it but pretty daunting for just about everyone. Martin to you, Buckelbury is going off? The celebrationerize extraordinary. The park -- the celebrations are extraordinary. You look like you are having a fun time? Mel, the night is young. You just missed the fireworks five minutes ago. A great fireworks display. It is all happening. Bruk -- buck is the place to be -- Buckelbury is the place to be. Get in a fast car and get here. Are we happy today?Yeah! What does it mean for Buckelbury. It is fantastic. Amazing, Tuesday night and everybody is out celebrating. Normally it would be quiet. It is like winning the Ashes. It realry like winning the Ashes. It really is.Inl terms of you young guys, what is.Inl terms of you young guys, what does it mean knowing the future king is going to be around here, probably playing not far from where probably playing not far from you are?Really exciting just because you are from here and you can relate to what the king and queen are doing.Very good answer. Hopefully I will meet him one day. You will be the generation to grow up and it is too late for me to meet the mum and dad. Guess what? Another Australian connection here in Buckelbury. You have got family Buckelbury. You have got family down under? We do, my sister and family live in Adelaide. What is her name? live in Adelaide. What is her name?? Michelle. She has been there for 20 years.Say good morning am.Morning. Hi Michelle. My step' daughter Hi Michelle. My step' daughter, Hi Michelle. My step' dot Becka is in Australia. Hello! Most Australians, it looks like you all came from here, probably.Far outn the corrections you are finding, Martin. It is like a sister city we never knew we had. What are we going to do when the royal baby comes to town and we see grandma pushing the town and we see grandma pushing stroller down the road?I stroller down the road?I doubt we will see it. Security will be high. Kate will probably come here in the next day or two, from Kensington Palace. She will have time with her mum who will do the nannying duties and her sister Pippa, they have 18 acres of land, the biggest house around here, Justin around here, just over the field, I doubt they'll be out here pushing prams because of the security, which is a shame. The locals would love to see them. There is a back way over the fields. It might get a bit dark, to show you, maybe that is for tomorrow?Yes, look I am off air in two hours, save me a beer. Rob, what do you think the plan will be do you think the plan will be over the next few days? We know William is taking two weeks paternity leave? He is, yes. He is going to be at Kensington Palace for the next couple of days. There won't be an issue there. A completely secure environment. They have got to introduce the baby to the Queen, it has got to happen, probably in the building behind us, Buckingham Palace. Is the obvious place for Palace. Is the obvious place for the Palace. Is the obvious place for Queen to be. The qeeb is going on holiday on freeuld and pick up -- the Queen is going on holiday on Friday, and pick up fill Friday, and pick up Prince Philip. It has been hot and they will be bothered and probably Prince William will want to go to the pub where Martin is in Buckelbury. There will be some days we won't see them. They will issue a statement about the name and other details but apart from that they will keep out of the spotlight. I was speaking to a senior aide and he said that is the plan they have got.You are there at Kensington Palace, Mike. Do you think it offers a sense of privacy and the sense the crowds will leave soon and leave them alone for a bit of quiet time?Yes, look, they get all the privacy in the world here, as Rob said. It is quite a big palace. It is kind of hard to see but quite a big palace. They are well and truly behind the walls in Nottingham Cottage. They will have all the peace and quiet any palace can afford. There were quite a few people out when we first arrived and the sun was going down. The park is clearing out and they are going to kick us out soon. It is just me and the bugs at the moment. A couple of lights on in Kensington Palace. Not, I don't think where William and Kate and the baby are but it is very quiet here, Mel.Alright, Mike, I tell you what, I think Martin is having a great time in Buckelbury. Maybe join him for a beer in the pub. Rob is on his way. There you go, Kochie and Sam. It is going off in Buckelbury. It sure is. We love seeing the transformation of Martin after every cross. He seems to be getting a lot happier. His hair gets a bit more disheveled with every cross.Good on him.He is back with more people.More relatives in Australia.Sunrise in Australia. Hello!William and Kate leaving hospital with their baby, it is just going to be a moment in history. It is going to be iconic, isn't it? We are all so excited but no more excited than the editors of Australia's women magazines. This is like a pot of gold for them.

'New Idea' editor Kim Wilson
joins us now.

What a fantastic day.Have you worked out your worked out your cover? That picture is what we are waiting for?It is. There will be so many single frames to choose from. The world's photographers were camped out for three weeks to make sure they got that shot so we have a lot to choose from. that shot so we have a lot to choose from..Give us an idea, how much does circulation go up 50% does circulation go up 50%?It does. The royal wedding did fabulous things for us. We are able to run multiple issues because readers loved it and we ran with the story as it developed. In this case, we are waiting for the name but this is the important photo.Let's get down to the nitty-gritty. They are matching sky-blue outfits, lovely. Would it all have been? No accident? Well planned, there is no accident there. Kate is incredibly organised. Wills is a well practiced hand at this. There is probably a pink version of that dress, I would say, sitting somewhere. No, the blue looks stunning. Well coordinated, very well organised. I believe the Jenny Packham dress was designed especially for the occasion.A one off? On the Jenome? You won't find it anywhere but I wouldn't be surprised if Jenny Packham roles it out. It would make her a lot of money.Jenny Packham is one of her favourite designers. A nice nod to the picture, 31 years ago, when Diana emerged on Diana emerged Diana emerged on the steps in polka dots. Deliberate? They are very sensitive, and it is a nice touch. But you will remember Diana's dress was very smock, which was appropriate for the era.I still like the smock. You are the only one.Good on Kate for having a modern approach and a more shaped dres modern approach and a more shaped dres dress to show women step out of hospital and not back to their normal shape. Kate has embraced it and done it stylishly. She sure has. Tell us the plan? Do you rush 'New Idea' out?We will put out a special edition, souvenirs, lots of photos and also the warm and casual moments. For many people, it is one of those magazines you keep?Yes, people do put them away. 'New Idea' has been around for 110 years. Readers often write in and say, " Readers often write in and say, "I've got this issue from when this or that happened." That beautiful parallel from Diana and now Kate stepping out is something we will remember. It is exciting. We love a baby. A baby is going to be fabulous.Good luck. We will let you get back to the office and get the edition out now. Can't wait! The trip home from hospital with new bundle of joy is something most parents remember. One of our producers, Monica has sent in her photo, arriving home with husband Kane and their first born, Amelia. We want to see your photos as well. Your home arrival ones.Who is that? From a viewer?Cheryl has mailed in nat of her arriving home after the first of her first child in 1968. She said her dressing gown on.Good on her, I think it is an ace idea. Lots of response on e-mail, online. The 'Daily Mail' has got suggestions on where to go if you want a dress similar to Kate's?A knockoff? They are not made specifically but they scoured the net. Asos, 50 pounds, 40 pounds. The cornflower crepe de Chine they are calling it.The material? And Jenny Packham.Where can I get Wills' shirt?Yes, basically anywhere. Any shop does one of those.OK. Probably got about four of them in the wardrobe. They are the same. We are blokes. Actually, yours is quite similar. My goodness. Is it a nod to the royal prince? My tribute to William today and his ability to put the capsule in the back of the car so quickly. My favourite bit and when he wipes his brow.Apparently, he didn't go over 40 kays the whole way home. Let's go back to Mel in London. Seeing you are talking fashion, the polka dots, last week I went to a maternity dress, and the dress Kate bought, had polka dots, and the look-alike had a dress with polka dots, if you want to discuss it more. You are watching a special edition of Sunrise. They are setting off silences.

A proud Prince William has driven
his wife and newborn son home from hospital.

The family are now resting
inside Kensington Palace. Seven News correspondent Mike Amor
is at the royal residence. Mike, still no name
for Baby Cambridge but for now most of us
are pretty happy

We had our first look?Everyone was overjoyed at having our first look at the little prince. He is just over 27 hours old. Here is a little boy who will grow up in front of cameras for ths rest of his life. But gee, William and Catherine looked so relaxed as they proudly showed off their little boy. Catherine initially carried him outside and handed him to the dad. They took questions and they joked he look like his mum, thank goodness and he had more hair and they would decide on a name and would let the rest of us know when they decide. The best moment for me, when they went back inside and came out with the capsule and William put the little boy in the back seat. A nervous job for a new father. William did it successfully, and jumped in the front seat of the car and drove home here to Kensington Palace where it is getting very late, where am sure they are trying to get some much-needed sleep.I agree, Mike. I am with you. I thought it was a lovely moment when he drove his family home as well. Talk to you soon. I will have more for you from London, but now, a check of the rest of the news.

Good morning. A former security manager at
the Manus Island detention centre claims detainees

there have been no reports of rape. Almost 300 asylum seekers

to boycott petrol stations that continue to overcharge as the cost of unleaded
reaches a 5-year high. It comes after the cost of fuel in
South Australia hit $1.60 on Monday, for the first time since 2008. Nationally the average price at the
pump has jumped by 25 cents a litre since mid-May.

Chris West from
the Royal Automobile Association has the details. Chris, why are prices so high and why are you calling on motorists
to boycott some service stations?

The prices are quite high at the moment. They are at their 5-year high level. Part of it is due to commodity price rising and the Aussie dollar devaluing. But it is an opportunity for the industry to maximise margins by bringing forward the spike we have seen in Adelaide to penalise motorists at $ to penalise motorists at $1. to penalise motorists at $1.65. We are seeing the same spike in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane where there has been a shorter cycle. Effectively it maximises the industry's margins just as we expect whole sale prices to fall.So check first thank you. Time for sport with Beretts.
