LEIGH SALES, PRESENTER: The Federal Government has slammed an Opposition frontbencher for
describing Kevin Rudd as a "pig".

The Coalition Health spokesman Peter Dutton said the Prime Minister deserved to be dubbed "the pig
of Australian politics" for his misbehaviour on a recent overseas flight.

Mr Rudd admitted he abused an air force stewardess and reduced her to tears after she told him that
there was no food on board.

PETER DUTTON, OPPOSITION HEALTH SPOKESMAN: Once he's on board he turns into the pig of Australian
politics. So this is a bloke who I think we've only just scratched the surface on. He is a
politically tricky and masterful opponent.

LEIGH SALES: The Health Minister Nicola Roxon came to the Prime Minister's defence.

NICOLA ROXON, HEALTH MINISTER: I just think it's uncalled for to have this type of abuse hurled at
people in politics, surely the community expect more from us.

LEIGH SALES: Kevin Rudd was forced to publicly apologise for the incident.
